Frosting

Combine the following in mixing bowl and beat for 10-12 minutes… 1/2 cup shortening 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (softened) 2 cups powered sugar 2 tablespoons flour 1 tablespoon milk 2 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 egg white

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick… 1/2 cup milk 4 1/2 teaspoons flour Add and beat for about 7-8 minutes… 1/2 cup white or brown sugar 4 tablespoons unsalted butter 4 tablespoons shortening 1 teaspoon vanilla Optionally add 1/4 to 1/2 cup ground or chopped nuts.
