Choose tender sweet corn.
Without removing more than the outer layers of husk, plunge cobs into “fiercely boiling” salted water for 10-minutes.
Remove the husks. amd wrap each ear with 3-4 slices of bacon using toothpicks to hold into place.
Slather with a combination of 1/2 part melted butter.
Place on grill over coals (or gas grill, a grill rotisserie, or even the kitchen oven). Skewers can be used if desired.
Broil to brown on all sides, so it’s best to turn often. It’s also good to baste with more melted butter, but the bacon fat will melt over the head and scorch, but do not worry, the corn is fine.
When bacon is fully cooked, the corn shouldbe done. Remove and discard bacon. Serve.
