  • 2 cups sugar

Add flour mixture to egg mixture a bit at a time until all the flour is added.

  • 2 cups fresh apples, sliced
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (i.e., walnuts, pecans, almonds)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup brandy

Mix gently as batter will be stiff like cookie dough!

Spread the batter into a 13x5x2-inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.

This is a very rich cake and shot not be iced. The crust is crunchy like a cookie and the inside is moist and chewy like a brownie.
